After watching the trailer earlier last year, I knew I just had to watch this movie, this is a movie with soul. Its not your typical family but they make you feel like you one of them. Auggie as he is called by his family is a boy with a rare health issue that made his face disfigured. This movie highlights the struggle of every young child with a disfigurement and how the family as a whole handles it. Its more of a heart-wrencher.
In WONDER, August “Auggie” Pullman is about to start fifth grade — marking his first time at a school with other kids, rather than learning at home from his mom, Isabel. That would be plenty nerve-wracking on its own, but Auggie has more to worry about than the average new middle schooler: Born with a genetic abnormality, he has a significant facial difference. Twenty-plus surgeries in his short life have left him able to hear, see, and speak like other kids, but he definitely doesn’t look like them. And since he can’t wear his beloved astronaut helmet all day at school, he has to face them all in person. It’s far from easy; kids call him names (“Darth Hideous,” “Gollum”) and bully him, and even his parents can’t talk away the hurt. But Auggie isn’t the only one facing challenges: His older sister, Via , feels like their parents barely pay attention to her because Auggie needs so much from them. – Betsy Bozdech

I wasn’t really expecting much from this movie. The storyline put up online was discouraging so i didn’t even take the time to see the trailer but boy o boy do I regret not seeing this movie first thing in this Year. Amazing. Even though it starts sceptically, I believe it deserves an award for being original.
In an alternate present day, humans, orcs, elves and fairies have been coexisting since the beginning of time. Two police officers, one a human, the other an orc, embark on a routine night patrol that will alter the future of their world as they know it. Battling both their own personal differences as well as an onslaught of enemies, they must work together to protect a young female elf and a thought-to-be-forgotten relic, which, in the wrong hands, could destroy everything. – Wikipedia

Apple Crumble

I developed a sweet tooth a few months ago, though i dont know what triggered it but I’m glad it was triggered. It started with my love for cupcakes. I tried out 3 kinds of Cupcakes. The Ice glazed cupcake, The Coconut Cup and the Apple Crumble. I normally buy my cupcakes from Shoprite even though my friends say there are better places to get cupcakes. I visit shoprite for my weekly shopping and during that time, i like to visit the Bakery and see what i can try. This month, Apple Crumble has been my favourite go-to sweet treat. The apple baked on the inside soothes my sweet cravings and the texture is just right. Even though im not much of a baker, the Apple cruble is my suggestion for anyone who want something sweet but not too sweet. Just make sure to Avoid the ones with sugar spinkled on top. So i looked up the recipie and found one that was easier to try at home and i wanna share it with you.

Blade Runner 2049

I have never watched the first installment of blade Runner so I was hoping this one can give me an insight into what I missed. 21 minutes into the movie, I’m saying wow, awesome. I need to watch the first installment. From what I have seen in the first 30 min, it looks like earth took decades back and then re found  technology. I was able to sylit through the movie to understand it but it looks like I would need the first installment to understand it fully.

Captain Underpants

OMG… This is the most hilarious.  I loved reading Captain underpants as a kid and finally I got to watch the movie. So happy and so funny. I loved it. The best ever. You gotta watch it. This is the best movie for a family movie night on Sunday.

George Beard and Harold Huthins are two overly imaginative pranksters who spend hours in a treehouse creating comic books. When their mean Principal threatens to seperate them into different classes, the mischievous boys accidentally hypnotize him into thinking that he’s a ridiculously enthusiastic, incredibly dimwitted superhero called Captain Underpants. – Wikipedia
